The ability to perceive a three dimensional view of a remote workspace is an essential factor for teleoperation performance for such applications as searching out & diffusing bombs, telemedicine, undersea/space exploration, search & rescue in hazardous areas, nuclear operations and material handling. Depth perception is a key point in the ability to skillfully manipulate in all of these remote environments.
