DTI Announces New Partnership with Dynamic Digital Depth PDF Print E-mail

DDD - Digital Dynamic DepthDimension Technologies Inc. (DTI), the world's leading manufacturer of 2D/3D switchable displays, announced that it has entered into a reseller agreement with Dynamic Digital Depth (DDD) of Santa Monica, California, the 3D software and content company. Under the agreement, DTI will resell TriDef® software which is based upon DDD's 2D to 3D content conversion process. DTI will now offer a complete solution of hardware and software to fulfill the needs and requirements of its customers.

The overall market for 3D visualization hardware and software has been steadily growing and with this new products and technologies are emerging. In the past, customers would have to determine which 3D hardware and 3D software combinations were best suited for their needs. In some cases complete solutions were simply not available, but that scenario is rapidly changing.

By entering into this partnership, DTI and DDD are enabling companies and consumers to pursue 3D visualization solutions that were not available last year. For example, with DTI's Virtual Window 17 display and DDD's TriDef DVD Player for Windows, anyone who owns a regular DVD can now watch that same DVD in 3D, without special glasses. DDD's revolutionary 2D to 3D real-time conversion process automatically takes the 2D DVD and converts it into stunning Real-Depth 3D, as the DVD is played.

"For our customers, it will be easier than ever to implement complete 3D visualization solutions, eliminating most of the traditional "guesswork" involved in designing a fully functional system. We are providing a powerful 3D platform that enables true 3D visualization, without glasses, without frustration, and one which will increase the end users' productivity and effectiveness in accomplishing their tasks," said Chris Lagergren, director of business development at DTI.

Professional users involved in areas like graphics design, scientific modeling (especially molecular), CAD/CAM, architectural design and geographical analysis will now have a complete 3D visualization solution which is seamlessly integrated. The Virtual Window 19 and TriDef Visualizer enable real-time 3D visualization for a number of applications, like DS ViewerPro 5.0, SpinFire Pro, BioMedCAChe, CAChe WorkSystem Pro 6.1.1, EON Studio, Gocad, Axel, Cortona VRML Client 4.2, Satellite Tool Kit (STK), Surpac Mine Vision 5.0, Amira, vCollab and Spartan 2.0e. Users of these applications can now perceive and explore the missing third dimension of depth, increasing their productivity, creativity and understanding of complex information.

"Our partnership with DDD represents a significant opportunity for companies and consumers thinking about procuring a 3D visualization solution," said Chris Lagergren. "DDD is the leading provider of 3D enabling software, and DTI is the market leader for large screen 2D/3D desktop switchable displays. This combination of leading edge software and hardware, backed by the impressive history of our organizations, gives our customers the chance to experience 3D visualization like never before."

Reactions

"Another advantage of DTI's technology is that three people can sit comfortably next to each other at arm's length from the screen and still observe the 3D effect."
